Introduction to
Navigation - a 10 week night course, suitable for
beginners or those with limited cruising experience. The course is designed to
give you a good basic grasp of Nautical terminology,
Chartwork, Tides, Safety, Rules of the Road, Ropework and Knots and other
related issues. On successful completion of the course you will be awarded a
Certificate by

Yachtmaster Coastal - a 20 week night course (usually starts late Sep/early Oct) for
candidates with reasonable boating experience - preferably with hands on
navigation experience. This intermediate course is designed to give budding skippers/navigators
a solid grasp of Navigation Theory - concentrating on Navigation - traditional
and electronic, Tides, Rules of the Road, Meteorology,
Safety Issues, Skippering, Pilotage and Passage Planning. On successful
completion of the course, you will be awarded the

candidates with a good level of navigation experience, and preferably with some

Diesel Engine Maintenance
Course - this 1 day course is aimed a Boat
Owners who wish to know the basics of Diesel Engine maintenance to help prolong
the life of their engine and troubleshoot problems - ie fuel line, oil changes,
cooling systems, alternators etc. The course will be given by Hugh
Pilsworth, an RYA Diesel Instructor, who is the
Irish agent for Yanmar Marine engines.
