The adidas Dublin City Marathon 2007 was held on 29th October in wonderful weather conditions. A group of 5 of us Marathon Virgins assembled at 8am just off Leeson St and managed to stick together until about the 20 mile mark. The craic and banter was great with spectators on fellow competitors alike. Despite all the worrries of hitting the "wall", muscles giving up or legs failing, I managed very well and was delighted with my time of 6h 38m 32s. My buddies all finished, some painfully, but it was agreed we all enjoyed the experience for the majority of the way around. A few beers and some grub afterwards made it all worthwhile, but boy did the muscles ache for the next few days! I hope you enjoy the photos.
